Number In Room -

Find out how many users are in someone's room right on the Who's Live page. A number below each user's profile picture shows how many members, non-members and viewers are in each persons chat.

You can now choose different fonts and formatting for messages in in video chat. Click the check box by the size input to format all messsages in that font/size/format.

Techcrunch is throwing a party up in Menlo Park California, and everyone on Stickam is invited to it. Stickam will be broadcasting the party tonight and you can watch the live broadcast here!.
The Party starts at 6:00PM (PST) and goes on until midnight. Everyone who is everyone in Web 2.0 will be there so make sure to join Jake and Michael from Stickam as they interview the big players.

Wow! Within a week of us releasing our new profile pages a user from the Stickam community, copenhagen, has released a profile customizer. Its as simple as filling out a few fields and pasting the code into your "My Message" section of your Edit Profile page.

Huge Update today as Stickam now features Social Networking. Thats right, you can now add users as friends, leave comments, and have an expanded profile page. We've also started keping track of the number of times your profile is viewed. Heres a breakdown of each feature:

Expanded Profile -

Tired of being asked ASL? You can now update your profile to include more about yourself, your hobbies, interests, and mood.

Friends List-

Want to know if your friends are online? You can now add members of Stickam to your friends list and view their live status from your My page and Profile Page.

Profile Comments -

You can now leave comments on other members profiles. Send a shout out, attach and image or video, or just say Hi.

Profile Views/Top Members -

You can now check out the number of views your profile gets right on your My Page and Profile Page. There is also a display of who is Stickam's most popular Live members each week based on profile page views.

Media chat is a new kind of chat room that allows viewers to watch the same media simultaneously while chatting. Think of it like hanging out with friends and watching tv together. Heres a screen shot:

Update: We have replaced the functionality of the Media chatroom inside users chatrooms with our Video Mixer:

The Video Mixer is a new feature for host chatrooms. It allows you to broadcast any videos uploaded to your stickam account or added to your playlist in your chatroom for all viewers to see. You can now be your own VJ or watch your favorite video simultaneously with all your friends in your stickam chatroom.

You'll notice the new Mixer button added to the host chat control bar.

Clicking on brings up the Video Mixer window.

From here you can see any videos added to your Stickam playlist in the Video Mixer pulldown.

After choosing a video, click the Broadcast button to play back the video to all users watching your Stickam player. The video will continuously loop. You can jump to another video by selecting another from the pulldown list.

To change back to your webcam, click the Broadcast button again.

If you want your mic to be heard over the video, click the Voiceover check box before clicking the Broadcast Button. Real time directors commentary anyone?

I was messing around with a new dashboard widget for OSX called Dash Clipping and realized this could work great for stickam. What you can make this widget do is allow you to view anyones stickam player just by brining up your dashbroad.

Heres a quick how to:

Download and install Dash Clipping from here.

Position your dash clipping widget on your dashboard.

Enter the URL of the Profile page you want to view. Click next.

Drag the screen around till you get to the Stickam Player and resize the window.

Click save position and size and there you have it, a great quick way to check someone's cam on Stickam straight from your dashboard.

The new profile page will not be coming out today as previously mentioned in an earlier post. We may still be releasing it this week or early next week after further testing and development. Expect to see not only the new profile page but also a few more surprises being released soon.

As a public service, Chase, artist/designer and Belgium transplant, paints free murals around Los Angeles depicting young children with the text next to them saying: "Remember Who You Are". Children represent the closest stage in this life time to the Essence and have not yet been conditioned by today's world. No wonder they are so full of Love, Joy Wonder Peace and Truth. The intent behind the installations is to stimulate the general public to re-consider and re-member with their inner child.
