Revised Go Live Chat
Two weeks ago we released our new version of the Go Live chat window. It was met with some mixed reviews to say the least so we've decided take some of your suggestions given to us in the feedback to make this new chat better for you.
This is the window you should first see when you go live. You'll notice that the text chat area and guest video screen is now immediately viewable. You might also notice your video is clearer. We've switched back to using our native resolution of 320x240 to make the video its highest quality,
At anytime you can also choose to close these sections with these buttons:

You can re-open the text chat window with this button:

And Re-open the guest video with this button:

Now heres an important change. If a guest enters your room you'll no longer get shrunk down automatically. You now stay in the large window by default. But if you want a guest to appear in the large screen use the
swap button to switch them.

Now you are the small screen and your guest takes over the large view. This small screen has some new changes too. Its no longer stuck in a fixed place on your screen.

You can now drag the small screen where ever you want so it no longer blocks any video you're viewing on the main screen.
You can always swap your self back to the large screen by mousing over your screen and clicking the swap button again.
You can also hide or stop your feed by using these buttons:
The _ minimize button will hide your cam screen and the X button will turn off your cam.
If you want to show your cam screen again after minimizing it, just click your name on the user list and choose show video from the menu.

You can also view guests media, profile, kick, and ban a guest by clicking their name from the user list and choosing options from the menu.

Beside everyones screen is a volume slider that lets you control the sound level for each persons live feed individually.

If you want everyones sound muted immediately then click on the mute all button. Clicking it again will turn back on everyones sound.
One of the coolest features of the new Chat window is the record button. Now you can instantly record a short video and have it appear in your video section of your Stickam player. It records the host only and can last up to an hour of recording. This could work really well for vbloggers out there.
To the left of the settings is your log-off button. Clicking on the settings button brings up this window:

I'll just go through what each option does:
Sound Alert - Alert's you when you receive a message.
Window Focus - Your chat window will focus when you receive your first message
Mute Mic - Automatically start video chat with your mic on mute
Exclude from whos live -Remove yourself from the Who's Live list on Stickam
Private -Stops other members from entering your room and disables your live feed on external Stickam players.
Who can chat- This allows only other Stickam members to enter your chatroom
Disable video feed - This turns off everyone but the hosts live feed.
Broadcast Only-This disables both other members video and text chat and allows you to broadcast your feed only. Good if you want to use stickam as your own tv show.
Video Setting - Changes the size of your live video feed. Choose small to save CPU/network resources on your computer.
-----------------------------------------------------
I should also mention, if you really, really still hate the new Go Live window you can switch back to the classic look by going to Edit Preferences from your MY Page.

You can change you host chat type back to classic and save. The next time you Go Live you'll be taken back to the old version of the Go Live Window. Keep in mind that you will loose some of the advanced features and options if you switch, but you can always switch back to the new style.

We don't have a concrete plan on if or when we will allow public moderators for chatrooms at this time.

When will the application link appear for those who wish to apply for moderator positions for the general chat rooms?
