Paris Hilton: "Stickam is Hot!"

For those of you who missed our live stream last Friday, Here is the exclusive Stickam interview with Paris Hilton from the Hollywood-RX event at Skybar.

FRIDAY, June 9th 8 PM-10 PM: Stickam interview w/Paris Hilton at the Sky Bar

home_promo_hollywoodrx.jpg

FRIDAY, June 9th 8 PM-10 PM
Stickam will be interviewing Paris Hilton LIVE at the Hollywood Prescription private party held at the Sky Bar in Hollywood, CA.

The Hollywood Prescription is a non-surgical, alternative method to enhancing lips! Haha, I tried it today and I have to admit, it works. Well, obviously it didn’t blow my lips up, but my lips were extra smooth, relative to my usual, flaky, chapped lips… not to mention GLOSSY!

So join the Stickam crew as we interview the beautiful Ms. Paris Hilton! Enjoy!

Ben and Mauna Loa

Where did Ben go? Ben is finally back from Hawaii!!! Yay! We all missed him. I missed yapping to him and I’m positive he did too. And that’s not all, he brought back Mauna Loa. She’s not very sweet, a little on the fatty side… personally, she kinda gives me a headache when she’s around for prolonged periods of time. That said, there’s something about her that’s so addicting. She reminds me of my childhood crush.

And you, Stickam users, what do you think of the enhanced features of the Host Chat? Superb clarity, scroll bar function, etc. It's nearly perfect. 8]

Revised Go Live Chat

Two weeks ago we released our new version of the Go Live chat window. It was met with some mixed reviews to say the least so we've decided take some of your suggestions given to us in the feedback to make this new chat better for you.

newhostchat.jpgThis is the window you should first see when you go live. You'll notice that the text chat area and guest video screen is now immediately viewable. You might also notice your video is clearer. We've switched back to using our native resolution of 320x240 to make the video its highest quality,

At anytime you can also choose to close these sections with these buttons:
close-text-chat-tab.gif hide-member-tab.gif

You can re-open the text chat window with this button:
open-chat-window-tab.gif

And Re-open the guest video with this button:
view-other-members.gif

newswap.jpg

Now heres an important change. If a guest enters your room you'll no longer get shrunk down automatically. You now stay in the large window by default. But if you want a guest to appear in the large screen use the swap.gif swap button to switch them.

spacer.gif

swapped.jpg
Now you are the small screen and your guest takes over the large view. This small screen has some new changes too. Its no longer stuck in a fixed place on your screen.

drag.jpg
You can now drag the small screen where ever you want so it no longer blocks any video you're viewing on the main screen.

swapback.jpg
You can always swap your self back to the large screen by mousing over your screen and clicking the swap button again.

You can also hide or stop your feed by using these buttons: minandclose.gif The _ minimize button will hide your cam screen and the X button will turn off your cam.

showvideo.jpg

If you want to show your cam screen again after minimizing it, just click your name on the user list and choose show video from the menu.

guestoptions.jpg
You can also view guests media, profile, kick, and ban a guest by clicking their name from the user list and choosing options from the menu.

volume-slider.gif
spacer.gif
Beside everyones screen is a volume slider that lets you control the sound level for each persons live feed individually.
spacer.gif
muteall.gif If you want everyones sound muted immediately then click on the mute all button. Clicking it again will turn back on everyones sound.

rec.gifOne of the coolest features of the new Chat window is the record button. Now you can instantly record a short video and have it appear in your video section of your Stickam player. It records the host only and can last up to an hour of recording. This could work really well for vbloggers out there.

settings.gif To the left of the settings is your log-off button. Clicking on the settings button brings up this window:

settings.jpg

I'll just go through what each option does:

Sound Alert - Alert's you when you receive a message.

Window Focus - Your chat window will focus when you receive your first message

Mute Mic - Automatically start video chat with your mic on mute

Exclude from whos live -Remove yourself from the Who's Live list on Stickam

Private -Stops other members from entering your room and disables your live feed on external Stickam players.

Who can chat- This allows only other Stickam members to enter your chatroom

Disable video feed - This turns off everyone but the hosts live feed.

Broadcast Only-This disables both other members video and text chat and allows you to broadcast your feed only. Good if you want to use stickam as your own tv show.

Video Setting - Changes the size of your live video feed. Choose small to save CPU/network resources on your computer.

-----------------------------------------------------

I should also mention, if you really, really still hate the new Go Live window you can switch back to the classic look by going to Edit Preferences from your MY Page.
chooseclassic.jpg
You can change you host chat type back to classic and save. The next time you Go Live you'll be taken back to the old version of the Go Live Window. Keep in mind that you will loose some of the advanced features and options if you switch, but you can always switch back to the new style.

We are fam-i-ly!

Wowww…. Wow.. Friday. I think a few of us are still recovering from the team dinner last week. You know, cuz we ate a lot. 8]

Last Friday brought new meaning to Soju, a Korean hard liquor. Hmm, how do I explain? Well, Soju is like a ninja. It’ll hit yah when you least expect it, then pull an M.I.B. and wipeout your memory.

OK well, yah, I admit, that’s a poor explanation and to be honest, I really don’t know where I’m going with this. I decided to write an entry since the site is down for maintenance. Wait, today is Monday, I’m supposed to write one. Cool! Works out well then!

We have pictures and footage to post, but in order to maintain a PG-13 environment, it must be edited for inappropriate content. Haha JUST KIDDING! We just want to package it nicely to portray properly the true, friendly nature of Stickam.

Sorry, we are having some issues with our system. Stickam will be down for a brief moment. Thank you for your patience.

In the meantime, enjoy a nice game of cowfighter.....

Stickam Hazing

If you think it’s all candy here at Stickam, you are wrong… dead wrong.

So my initiation into the Stickam social sphere included eating Special 2 at Orochon under 30 minutes.

A couple of us made a trip to a favorite ramen restaurant, Orochon—famous for their fire-breathing, face-sweating, ring of fire, spicy arse ramen. MAN OH MAN. Orochon has a “Wall of Fame” filled with pictures of brave patrons who finished Special 2 ramen in 30 minutes or less.

You think it’s easy huh?

Synopsis:
- 12:01PM: All of us were starved, waiting patiently for food.
- 12:30: PM: We received (2) Special 2’s –one for a former champion on the Wall of Fame, and one for Heidi. 30 Minute countdown started.
- 12:35 PM: Everyone enjoyed their meals. Heidi hungrily consumed her noodles.
- 12:36 PM: Heidi finished noodles, panting, sweating, panting. Everyone stare at Heidi and encourage her to finish.
- 12:45 PM: Heidi attempts drinking soup base with straw, but straw clogged with chili peppers—failed miserably.
- 12:46 PM: Heidi barfs. More room.
- 12:48 PM: (12 minutes to go) “OK, fine, freak it,” Heidi thought. (chugs bowl of soup.)
- 12:55 PM: (to waiter) is that OK? Does this count? Do I win?
- Mission accomplished.. heidi bolts to the restroom to hurl the remaining food.

OK. I really just wanted to get this story out ASAP, so the story wasn’t really written well. Basically, I left with a burning stomach and bigger, redder lips.

After chugging a cup of Calpico, I was gravy. Why I didn’t drink this before was beyond me, but one thing’s for sure… NEVER AGAIN.
