How To: Setting Up Flash
After noticing some people having trouble setting up their webcam for Stickam I thought I'd make a quick help guide. If your webcam has the proper driver and is working with other applications but not on the Stickam site, it may have to do with your Flash settings being set wrong.

The first step is to right click (or ctrl click for macs) any flash element on the Stickam page. Its easiest to just right click where your video should show up in your Go Live page. You should see a window like the one pictured above. Select Settings.

This brings up the Flash Settings window for your browser. First off be sure to allow stickam to access your camera and mic and check the remember box.

Next select the microphone tab and choose your mic input from the pull down menu.

Now select the web cam tab and choose your camera input from the pull down menu. (If you have a built in iSight on a Mac - the input should be USB Class Video)
And that should do it. If for some reason your camera is not showing up in the pull down menu you may not have the driver properly installed or you may need to try a different browser.

I'd recommend that you guys create another drop down for iSight and just have it be an alias for the USB Class Video; it'll save anyone from ever asking that question, and should be easy to just add in since you'd just need a pointer or function call, and not necessarily a whole new bunch of code.

doug, I'd shoot an email over to support@stickam.com and see if they can help.

I'm trying to run Stickam on a WordPress blog. Webcam: Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX.
I've done everything suggested on these pages -- I've adjusted the settings appropriately, I'm "live", and yet I have no video. What do I try next?

I'd try right clicking on some other flash element. Also make sure you have the most recent version of flash installed.
